Chiropractic: Does Head Posture Contribute to Sleep Apnea in Inver Grove Heights?
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a potentially serious sleep disorder that occurs when the throat muscles intermittently relax and block the airway causing breathing to repeatedly stop and start during sleep. In this study, researchers examined the head posture of 100 participants with varying severity of OSA using X-rays. They discovered the individuals with more abnormal head posture tended to have more severe OSA, suggesting that treatment to improve posture may benefit OSA patients.
